A VERY FULL DAY OF FUN!

Last Wednesday we took the opportunity to go to capital hill for a day of history and government...

It was super fun!  The kids had a great time and really enjoyed the Tennessee State Museum.

I sometimes wish I had one of these in my house...

We met up with some friends from church and had lunch... and then we were off the the mock legislative session.  It was so much fun... Liam and the three older kids from the group got to sit in the desks of the representatives, make up bills, discuss said bills and vote on said bills.  It was really interesting.  I learned a lot and Liam really enjoyed it!

Oh but wait!  The day isn't over yet!  I decided it was a good mom day and so I took the kids out to ice cream at our favorite spot on broadway.  If you ever come visit us, we'll take you here... mmmm

Colin TOTALLY WIPED OUT after a super long wonderful day...

Was that the end of an awesome day? NOPE!!! I decided on an impromptu neighborhood campfire. It was such a beautiful day, it was not to be wasted! So we got our campfire going and invited all the neighbors over for hotdogs...

And this is the end of the day isn't it beautiful...  What a great and glorious day to be alive!

Dress up!

Today was a bluesy, Michael Buble kindof day.  Thank goodness for a full dose of sunshine and a surprise phone call from a very sweet sister full of compassion and love.  In honor of a blusey day, I share a laugh to brighten and lift all spirits who check in on occasion...

The calm before the storm...

So the other day ago, we had BIG tornado warnings, but the weather before the storm was AMAZING!!!!  The lighting was also incredible.  We took advantage of both blessings and played outside the whole morning.  I mean really who turns down playing outside in 84 degree weather in February...Um NOT ME!!!!
The kids spent the morning building tepees... That counts as school right?

Hugging and jumping on the trampoline.  Both are REALLY good for your HEART!

Colin likes to scare mom... ALOT... I think he may have a future in the circus!

Of course with the storm on it's way, we had to talk about wind and since Liam has a wind section in science, what better way to learn that to experience the wind before a tornado... Sound great to me!

The girls are gazing at the neighbors dogs... Again more science...uh...animal studies!~

*Sigh*  is that not the most beautiful sky!  I am so grateful for the beautiful world in which we live...
(A few hours following this photo, we had three minutes of hail and then clear skies again... So much for tornados.)

LUCKY!!!!

I try really hard not to be jealous when Morgan has goes out to eat or sees family or gets to visit my beloved Idaho, but when he gets to go to three temples in one month and one of those is the Twin Falls Temple and the second one is the Salt Lake Temple...  I admit it.  I feel a little GREEN!  I am grateful that my husband loves the gospel and stands as an great example as a father, provider and priesthood holder in our family.  I sure got lucky when I married him 13 1/2 years ago...
