All Done!

Ok so I have a HUGE list of projects that I need to finish, but the priority was Colin's crib as he was literally crawling out of the bassinet. So I gathered up all children left at home and my sandpaper and finished my crib!! I wanted it to look a little distressed and so I left it with a slightly unfinished look and used a pickled oak. I LOVE it! I think it turned out so well and the blankets and crib pads finish it off just right. Thanks, Sara, Joanna, Kim and Vickie for helping me have a really cute crib! Liam's birthday was wonderful! He felt very loved. Thank you for all your love and birthday wishes! Emery is such a funny girl, she is into everything! Morgan and I were home the other day ago after dropping the kids off at the bus stop, we noticed that it was really quiet! I went to find Emery and this is what I found. Silly girl. and finally Colin is army crawling. He is so busy and squeally (is that a word) and cute!

First day of School

Yep you read that right. Liam and Isabelle went to school today. I have struggled and fought this one and finally received an answer. I won't go into all the details, but I feel good about taking 6 months to a year off of homeschooling and getting my balance as a mom of four and letting the kids have some life experience to boot. They both loved it! Their teachers are wonderful and they feel good about being there. Morgan gave them both amazing blessings this morning and I know that Heavenly Father has his hand in this whole experience. Therefore, I will go forth with faith! Emery and I are going to get some much needed mommy-Em time. Today we picked cucumbers and looked at our baby pumpkins. Emery is the human embodiment of joy. She is always bouncing here and there and is a regular tornado through the house. Her favorite show is Lilo and Stitch, because Stitch is beautiful and blue and blue is her favorite color in the whole wide world! We laugh because Isa is all princesses and gold and pink and Emery is all movement and energy. Isabelle is a reader! She is forever in a corner sounding out books or asking if she can read to me. She is such a little peacemaker and lovey too. She takes care to make sure you're ok if you are hurt and her little heart breaks when she disappoints anyone. She is an angel here on earth and I am so blessed to have such beautiful daughters. Liam is such a little man! He is my extra hands when it comes to Colin. He is even willing to change diapers. He loves Roald Dahl and has read almost all of his books. He is a lego machine lately and is finally interested in trying to build according to instructions. He has been finding creations in his lego magazines to build just by copying from the picture. He's a wonderful young man and I look forward to the next month as he is choosing to be baptized. He'll start scouts in two weeks and should just have an adventurous year! Colin is growing so fast. He is sitting up a bit on his own. He is a roller man and constantly reaching and exploring. I have to be careful, when I leave him in a room on a blanket on the floor, he'll be into something on the other end of the room by the time I get back. He is starting to army crawl, which cracks me up. He gets so eager and focused until he gets what he is after. He is a peaceful sweet squawky little man. He found his voice and lets me know how he is feeling. We are attempting diaper free with him and he loves it. He pees in the toilet and will stay dry most of the day. He's not at all happy with being wet and lets me know if I'm not paying attention. It's pretty cool actually!

So life is great and I feel blessed! There's no greater joy than being a mom!
