Our Christmas Album

This is Morgan. I thought I would share the new design for The Standards Christmas album , coming in November. We will be mixing and mastering the final album next week.

We are doing something unique for a Christmas album: we are including a story amidst the music. The story is called A Night to Remember. It is about a little homeless boy who is discovered by five singers who then take him on a journey to discover the meaning of Christmas. I think you'll like it. The sketches are depicting the child (Julian) in one of the scenes of the story.

Gym class

This is so fun!! Can I just say, I like playing with the blog! I mean obviously, I am always adding. So to all you other lovely slackers out there. Get busy! Mom and Dad, let's see some pictures of you guys so that my kids don't forget what you look like! Sarah and Price, we'd love to see a photo or two of you as well and Tim, well you add a lot to your blog, but don't forget this one. Now that my soap box is full and bubbling over, I will tell you about the videos we uploaded. This is the gym where Liam and Isabelle go each week. The man in white and black is Sergio and he is great. Usually, their class is much bigger. This was a makeup class. The owner of the gym is Gaby and she is super nice too. They are both from Romania and have super cool accents. The other man helping today, was a fill in. He was nice too. Anyway, enjoy the footage. Love ya, Jess

halloween party

yes we love halloween! Here are photos from our ward party. For those who are wondering, I am a tree and we will say Morgan is the night sky. Actually, Morgan was busy with the young men's halloween hall. Yes, he went as far out the size of the room would allow. There was lots of black lights, black drapery, gross body parts (like brains, eye balls, innards, dry skin, etc.) and of course, glow in the dark face paint. May I just tell you that he was extremely disappointed at being downsized from the stage last minute. The kids however had a great time and are super lucky to have such a fantastic young men's president!!
I also played twister with the kiddos last night and took some super cute naked baby pictures of Emery, who by the way turned over on her back yesterday. I love being a mom!

By the way, this info is for Tim and his future wife whoever they may be. There was a baby, maybe 6 months old who was dressed as nacho libre, with the mustache, curly hair wig, and buddah belly. It is something I could see you getting away with some how. Price, you may have the desire, but if I know Sarah, it would not fly in your house anymore than it would fly in mine. funny though!

sissy

I just took these today and had to share! Isa and Emery were twinners today! Liam and Isa are taking gymnastics and I wanted to show you all how cute she looked tonight. I was trying to keep her warm, so we got some tights with fun designs. Unfortunately tights and the beam are not a good combination, so these tights will be great for church and I will find her some footless ones. I also would like you to notice the crown on her head. She loves it and wears her "beautiful crown" as often as she possibly can. I would also like everyone to know that Liam is an excellent gymnast and does very well in his class. It is super nice that one of the instructors is male. I think that helps Liam feel not so different as his class is made up entirely of girls. Both kids are really enjoying their classes and I enjoy watching them. I don't mean to be prejudice, but I think they are pretty great and it is so fun to watch your children doing something they enjoy and having someone else lead them for a while. Anyway, life is good, I will try to get some video footage of the kids in class for the blog. We love you all!

tough time with pictures.

I just had to add these. Little Emery is such a pixie and Isa is so angelic when she is asleep. This photo op was just too great to pass up! oh yeah, about the title. Sometimes, publishing photos on the blog can be such a trial!!

Halloween Fun with Yogi Bear

Hey there family! We just got settled in from our little campout this last weekend and wanted to share some of our photos with you all. We had so much fun. The kids were nice and toasty and looked great in their Halloween costumes. Morgan and I had a super time, minus a little less sleep due to a freezing night, where we sacrificed our own heat for our angels. ( I don't think I have ever been so cold camping.) Thank heavens for a fire in the morning and the sunshine. Why were you so cold? you ask? Well let's just say that our tent has aquired a faulty zipper allowing our tent to have more than enough ventilation. It was still a super fun experience and we made the hayride top notch by singing at the top of our lungs. Yogi Bear was not impressed by the voices of the standards, but I enjoyed it. The words may have been different, but the tones the same as those of our beloved family birthday song. Yes, we made quite a spectacle of ourselves. The pictures we have posted are some fun with Yogi on the hayride, picking and painting pumpkins, and of course goofing off with the signs. If anyone has the opportunity to camp out at Jellystone during Halloween, do so. It is a spooktacularly good time!!

Just saying hello

I just finished teaching my class and I though that I would sit down and drop a line to all the people who I seldom see. Sarah and I had a great time in Twin Falls this last weekend. I sorely needed to get away from Pocatello, and my wonderful wife was willing to humor me and my needs. We had a very enjoyable time, and all I did was read, read, read, and read some more. I finished two books for school and got a little bit of writing done as well. Mom and Dad got to spend a good amount of time with Aiden, and we all got to enjoy each others company. Even though it wasn't over Octoberfest, it was still good to be with family and friends. Timmy brought Mary up to Twin with him and we all got to know her a little better. She is a very sweet girl and I think she and Timmy had a good time. We didn't get to see very much of them since they left Sunday afternoon, but the time spent was worth it.
Well, I do need to get back to work, I have a bunch of essays that need to be graded so that I can get them back to my students. Congratulations to the mothers to be in Nashville, and prayers out for the boys and the whole Atlantic City gig--big things are happening and you all deserve it. Lots of love and luck!

Cheers,
Price

Quick question.

Hey Mom I decided that if I write a blog message for you than it will be a reminder that is constantly there. I was just wondering when you were going to get those pictures of me when I shaved up on the blog for all to enjoy. Also the pictures of Ross falls. Just wondering. I know that you are busy and all that. Well have fun doin what you are doin.

Happy B-day to EVERYBODY!!!!

Holy crap it seems like everyone is having their birthday in September and in October. That is awesome. I would just like to say Happy Birthday to Price, to him who has only two more years until he is Thirty. (tee hee hee). Happy Birthday to my wonderful Sister Jessie who still doesn't look like she is anywhere near thirty. To Morgan, well what can you say to the man who so selflessly drew me a girlfriend and then signed the picture for me. Thanks Morgan but I think that I found myself a replacement. To One of my best friends wife. Holy crap we share the same birthday. That is crazy. Well I will talk to you all some day I am sure but for now take care and have an awesome week and don't forget to check out all the new and amazing pictures on my blog. storiesbyhammy.blogspot.com. Well enjoy and keep on posting. Love ya all tons.

Happy Birthday to Jess and Tim

I know see Tim every day, but I thought that I would officially say Happy Birthday to both he and Jessie. I always miss family at this time of the year. Every thing seems to be happening around our birhtdays, there's Octoberfest and Conference to name a two big ones. This was alwyas my favorite time of year becaue as a family I think we were closer in October and November than almost any other month. It was our transition time and I think that this season was our family season. I miss that! It is difficult to have Jessie so far away and Timmy soooo close, (just kidding tim) but I am glad that we are all still keeping in touch and able to enjoy each others company via other means of communication. I love you all! Mom and Dad, I am most greatful for you and all you have done to support me as I have battled my way through school and am preparing to get my Masters; I couldn't have done this without all your love and support.

Cheers,
Price
