Introducing Sawyer O'Ryan "Little Bear"

I wanted to take a moment to introduce and post some pictures of the newest arrival to the DC Spathes Clan!! Welcome Sawyer O'Ryan "Little Bear" Spathes to our family!! He is an old soul who Luke has been waiting for, for a very long time!!

After a very exciting birth, 12 hours of labor and finally an emergency c-section - a possible transfusion for Kate and Luke being rushed out of the operating room because of complications, Sawyer then being medi-vac to Bethseda for possible complications with his heart - only to have everything work out and be perfect - life at the DC Spathes Clan house is perfect!!
Little Bear, is thriving and is a sweet little man who already has a gentle soul, he is absolutely beautiful and makes my heart skip a beat. I am happy to say that I had a fantastic trip and it filled me up - as my vessels were empty - I think the trip itself and the fact that I am reading the Book of Mormon - reminded me that I am indeed blessed in every sense of the word - something I forgot!! I have been taken to my knees to ask forgiveness of the Lord for focusing on what I do not have .....rather then what I do. It was a humbling reminder to stand and look at the gifts I have been given in my life. It is pure joy to see Luke look at his son, and to see Kate be the beautiful mother and wife - they are a strong team and family.......and we will be back in the DC are every other month for the next 2 years!!
And a special thank you to Liam, whom I believe has a special connection with Luke - and whoes prayers seem to reach the powers that be in this area, once again you came through and Luke sends his love and thanks to you!!

Hello family

I seldom put it all out on the table but I am having a rough time in my life right now - been lost and wandering for too long.....please take a moment when you say your prayers to ask Heavenly Father to give me some extra strength.....I am trying so hard to find my belief again - I don't know if it is even possible living like I do but I am trying...I don't ever want anyone to look and me again and see that I am not strong in my church.

Random thoughts on Oktoberfest....

My first thought is that I have already done this and it got lost in cyberspace....nuts.
My second thought is that I had better suck it up and do it over again or Jessie will never forgive me.

what would oktoberfest be without smiles?

what would oktoberfest be without family?

What would oktoberfest be without street performers?

scarecrows?
vendors?
best friends?

sugar cookies decorated by aiden?

more scarecrows....

the chalk walk

families doing fun things together....
Price and aiden building a bank.....

chilly weather so some of us can stay inside and watch all the fun...
Well it would be lots of things but it wouldn't be oktoberfest!
Here is hoping we can all be together next year!
life is good....
the gospel is true.....
families are forever and I love you!

Ladybugs

Aiden and I spent an afternoon this summer hunting Ladybugs in front of Jan and Dale's house. He was so cute about how to pick them up, letting them crawl on you, and a slew of things. I took a ton of pictures and here are a few of my favorites.

Such a handsome little man!

He found a dead Ladybug and was very curious about why it was dead.

He is getting to be so big!

He was so funny when the LB were crawling on him.

I loved this, Aiden was looking at a LB in the grass and one had landed on him without his knowing it.

Just cute.

Hunting for LBs.

Every time he found a new LB he had to show me and, more often than not, place it on my shirt or pants.

Another picture of Aiden's little travel mate.

Looking for LBs.

It was a very fun activity and Aiden was so cute the whole time. I sure do love this little man and his beautiful sister!

Cheers,
Price
