Birthday Girl!!

Emery is now 5!!! She has asked us for a guitar for the past 6 months. So guess what she got for her birthday? Yep you guessed it! A guitar. And what kind of party goes with a guitar? A rockstar party!!!!

Em planned her own party. Her requirements were to have hotdogs and cheetos, (I chose smoothies instead of cake) and to ride bikes. I intially wanted to do it at the park, funny girl was not having that, so we opted for home.

It was perfect. We rode bikes, danced to Sugarland and Justin Beiber. Jumped on the couch,

Ate smoothies and played in the backyard....

I think all birthday parties should be this low key! Thanks Em for turning 5. Thanks for being my super fabulous rockstar daughter. Thanks for all your snuggles, laughs and for those big beautiful eyes! You are my joy baby and mama loves you! We had a great visit with gramachele!! We did lots and nothing at all. Mom and I spent evenings watching old movies and sitcoms and talking, the kids spent the day making card, playing with gramachele's ipad and just snuggling up. We did do a few "fun" things. We went to the lake and the tn state museum, we went to the Standard's concert, and Mom and I took a mom daughter day and went to carnton plantation. All in all the visit was perfect. We can hardly wait till Isa's birthday cuz it means that Gramachele comes back and this time Poppo come too! Yay for family time and yay for airplanes! Parting is such sweet sorrow.
