Everyone should hear this. Eric Darby is a slam poet and this is one of his performances at the 2005 semifinals. It is pure genius.

A Surprise Visit
He checked out our old fireplace and reminded me to leave the door open so he could get out! He also reminded me to tell you to leave your magic keys on the door handle so he can get into your homes. He said to tell Liam he has watched all year and is so glad that you are such a big help to your mommy when daddy is away. He said to tell you that you are growing up to be a very good boy and he is happy with all you do for your sisters and cousins. You are always good to share and play well with everyone. He cannot wait to see your list because he will be bringing something very special for you.
He says to tell Isa that she is becoming a very beautiful and equally nice girl. He loves to see you dance and sing. You are such a good girl. Always willing to help mommy. He does want He also wants you to think of something special you can do for someone you love. He knows how much you like to serve others and he can always use another elf.
Santa loves Aiden's smile. He is hoping this will be the year Aiden recognizes him. He knows how much Aiden likes books and wondered if that is what he wants for Christmas. He said to remind Price and Sarah to help Aiden write his list.
He said our little Emery is half elf. He just loves listening to her. He hopes she will help him pick out something very special for her.
To Logan and Jay-bay and Melie he sends his love. He says he will see you very soon. Don't let your parents make a fire in the fireplace because it leave soot marks on his suit! He says he has not received any lists from you either. Just send them in care of Santa at the North Pole! He wanted Logan to know he has watched his skateboard and he is very good. He likes that you are so close to your little sister. He wants to know if Jay has been as good as you were this year!
Jayden, Santa says to tell you how much the elves and fairies like the fairy garden you and grandma built. He says that is one of the favorite vacation spots for many of the elves. They love the old tree and although they cannot all fit in the house the fairies seem to love it! He wants to know what gift would make you happiest this year. I know you will write him a letter soon to tell him.
This is our Melie bug's first Christmas and there is always something special for a 1st Christmas. He has something special picked out for you already. I think you will like it!
He says we must all remember this is the season when we can give in loads of ways. We can serve others. We can surprise our friends, families and even strangers with homemade treats. And most of all we have to remember that this is in remembrance of the birth of the Savior. So as we are all getting ready for Christmas we cannot forget that this is the celebration of the birth of Christ!
And no sooner than he came he had to go again. I sent a little ornament with him as a little reminder of all our Christmases working together. He said I need to make one for each of you so I will get right on that and send one for each family.
Merry Christmas and I love you all!

OK six quirks about me...
1. I like doing dishes. It helps me wind down at the end of the day. I love to look out the window into my backyard and relax while doing dishes. I love how it feels to have the kitchen straightened up with everything it its place (usually there are too many dishes and so I find that it is not always perfect, but it is better at the end of the night) I have to admit that part of the reason I like doing dishes is also because I can make sure that they are done right. I guess that comes from dad saying do it right the first time and you don't have to do it again.

This is the view from my window isn't it beautiful! This was right after and before it started pouring again. Now maybe you can see why it is relaxing to look at this and do dishes. The only thing that makes it better is having kids on the trampoline.
2. I disappear into a book. I have to be careful when I start reading. It means I am unable to hear or respond to anyone else for the duration of the book. The other day ago, Liam broke through the reading barrier with "MOM! I have said your name three times and you weren't listening!!" Oops!
3. I can't stand folding socks. I wish they would magically match and fold themselves. It is so tedious to sit there and match and fold them. I am so glad that my son is getting old enough for this job.
4. I can't stand little kids with long fingernails. Especially if they are dirty underneath. (Gross) I will inevitably cut their nails even if they are not my children just to make sure that their nails are an appropriate length and are clean.
5. I cannot rationalize buying white bread. Even if it is requested. There is very little nutritional value to it and so I won't even give it a second thought. It is in my opinion a waste of time, money and energy. I feel the same way about bologne, unfortunately the boy that I babysit will eat only bologne, hotdogs, or tortilla chips. I have to keep them on hand. What a waste!
6. If I wake up before my alarm I will lay there until it is officially time to get up.
Well enough about my quirks. As for people to play tag with, I will have to think about that...

Costume fun
We are having a tough time with blogger right now rrrrr. This is the third time I have tried to share our photos with you. Oh well breathe...ummmmmmm... mantra or two or three... ok I'm ready. We went to the zoo for trick or treats after Marley's birthday. It was great fun and the kids loved it! Liam and Isa begged to go back. As you can see the animal theme was fun as well. Liam is Sonic the Hedgehog and was really excited when other kids knew who he was. He said " I'm beginning to be popular mom!" Isa and Em went as matching black kitties and had a great time. The best part of a dress up box, is that all three of them can be something entirely different on Halloween and were. Liam was still Sonic, Isa was Cinderella and Emery was a witch. I love Halloween and dressing up! Here are some of the photos from the zoo. I have also attatched a few from Liam and Morgan's date night to see Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D and my date with Isa to the Ballet to see Aesop's Fables. She got up and danced with the ballerinas. The one where she is sticking out her tongue, she is the turtle from the turtle and the hare. (the other girls in the photos are my activity day girls from primary) I also stuck a few photos we took from the park the other day ago. They are so sweet I had to share. Love you all! jess

Happy Halloween
Hey there I thought I would add some pictures of Aiden in his Halloween costume. He made a very cute little pound puppy. The only problem was the fleece feet didn't give him as much grip on the church's gym floor as he would have liked. Lets just say he had a few slips and one pretty good bump. If Sarah and I weren't trying to kick this stupid cold we have both picked up we would have perhaps enjoyed the day a little more as well. Tim, we are sorry for being such a pair of grumps and for boring you with our company.
Cheers,
Price, Sarah, and Aiden

It's costume time!
Halloween is so much fun! We love dressing up! I thought we would share some of our fun photos from Halloween. Also, Morgan took Liam on a date to The Nightmare before Christmas 3-D. Liam loved it. Please note their matching Jack shirts. I love the sales at the Disney store! We love you all and are thinking of you! Love jess
