This was Tim's big adventure last weekend. He did a winter survival course through ISU meaning he had to build his own shelter and survive a night in the snow. He was also challenged to make it the entire night without using his sleeping bag. Brrrrrr!!! He managed a few hours but then had give in, which I can't blame him. Apparently one girl in the class was able to make it the entire night.....impressive but crazy :) The second picture up shows where they created ventilation holes in case you were a little confused. I was when I first saw it. As for the rest of the commentary, you will have to ask Tim. All I know was that he shoveled snow all day; was wet and cold; but had a great time.
