Deep!

Liam and I just finished the book Old Yeller. It was a great read and I am so glad we read it! We have been journaling our feelings about each chapter and today I wanted to share a quote from the last chapter. This is Travis' dad talking about what Travis is feeling about having to shoot Old Yeller. I think we can all apply this to our own lives.

"What I mean is, things like that happen. They may seem mighty cruel and unfair, but that's how life is a part of the time. But it isn't the only way life is. A part of the time, it's mighty good. And a man can't afford to waste all the good part worrying about the bad parts. That makes it all bad...you understand?"

So I guess the message for today is look on the bright side. Life is beautiful! The tough times make us even more grateful for the good. So enjoy the joyful moments! I love you all! jess
